2. COST D42 Training School on
Indoor Air Quality in Museums, Galleries and Archives: Analytical Methods and Preventive Conservation Strategies

organized in the frame of
 
COST Action D42
"EnviArt: Chemical Interactions Between Cultural Artefacts and Indoor Environment"
 
The Training School iwas held between 5 and 9 May 2009 in Vienna as a collaboration of the Vienna University of Technology, Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien (KHM), Technisches Museum Wien (TMW) and Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.


3. COST Action D42 | WG 1, 2 and 3 | Workshop on

SHOWCASES INSIDE OUT  |  The Workshop was held in Porto, Portugal, from 24th  to 26th  May 2009, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP - Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto).  Post-workshop activities related with the topic will be held on the 27th at the same venue.

2. French-German summer school

on “Nanophotonics in nature and art” September 7 – 14, 2009 on the Ile d’Oléron. The school will cover fundamental problems, questions and applied techniques around color and the underlying structures in nature and in art in lectures as well as in practical courses. Although organized as a German-French School and largely funded by the Université Franco-Allemande,

participants from other countries are welcome as well. The deadline for application is the 22. June.

"Article in the Czech newspaper "Lidové noviny" - part Věda (science)

published on Saturday 27 September 2008.  Title of the article is:

 "Aerosol can damage ancient books".  The article describes measurements performed in the Baroque Hall of the National Library in Prague.  They have been supported by ENVIART.  Contact person is Jiri Smolik (smolik@icpf.cas.cz)".
